Ken Salomon will discuss first sale doctrine with university attorneys' group

Lobbying & Policy Chair Ken Salomon will speak on June 21 at the Copyright Forum during the Annual Conference of the National Association of College and University Attorneys in Philadelphia. His topic is the possibility of congressional action in response to the Supreme Court's March 2013 decision in Kirtsaeng v. John Wiley & Sons. The Court ruled 6-3 that the Copyright Act's first sale doctrine applies to the resale in the United States of physical goods lawfully manufactured outside of the United States that incorporate copyrighted material. Ken has represented, Inc., on this issue before Congress for the past year.
