Lobbying & Policy Chair Ken Salomon was a featured speaker at the Sloan Consortium’s 19th Annual International Conference on Online Learning on November 21 in Orlando. More than 2,000 people attended. Ken's session was on "Online and Distance Education Policy Puzzlements: From 2013-2020." He spoke about the education policy landscape in 2014 as Congress begins the process of reauthorizing the Higher Education Act, the federal law that provides student financial aid for college and university students. Ken also discussed how the 2014 and 2016 federal elections will affect the final outcome of reauthorization.
